Butternut squash purée –
Excellent first food for baby. Butternut squash is packed with vitamin A which is great for eye sight, skin, and preventing and fighting lung and oral cancers. This vegetable is also a rich source of fiber and phytonutrients.
1. Wash and cut the butternut squash length-wise.
2. Spoon out seeds.
3. Place squash halves face down in a baking dish in 1-2 inches of water.
4. Bake at 400* for 50 min (skin should be thin and puckering).
5. Spoon out the meat from the squash halves. Place meat in blender or food processor and blend till you have a smooth purée.
